What a great day we had photographing Aimee and Cai’s wedding in Liverpool, those of you who read the blog will remember them from their engagement session (check it out here). We met at Aimee’s parents house where she was getting ready along with her five bridesmaids. There were strawberries, champagne and lots of laughter. The girls hair was done by Emma Grier a Liverpool based hair stylist, and as Liverpool girls do they rocked it. We then headed over to the lads apartment to capture a few shots of them getting ready. This is something we like to do if the bride and groom are getting ready not too far away from each other, it really adds some nice variety to the album.
After the lovely ceremony we took a boat ride around the Albert Docks, this was a perfect opportunity to do the bride and groom portraits and something we had never done before. We then arrived at the Yacht Club where they were greeted by family and friends eager to see the newly married couple. The speeches were very well done and nicely complimented by Annie (Aimee’s sister’s) rap rendition of ‘ice, ice, baby’. very funny. We managed to get onto the pier just before sunset for some formal photographs and luckily none of the guests fell in lol. The beautiful bridesmaids bouquets and other flower arrangements were created by Sweeney’s Florist. The delicious three tier strawberry, blueberry and raspberry spongecake was made by The Crosby Tea Rooms. Congratulations guys, here is your wedding day.
