We loved photographing Sarah and James’ rustic farm themed wedding at their home in Cheshire. One of the advantages of growing up on a farm is that you have a great venue for a wedding and c’mon it’s not everyday you get to have your reception party in your own backyard! Of course it was very beautifully set out with a large marque as well as decorative tractors and haystacks just to complete the farm feeling.
We started with the detailed shots of the shoes and dress, Sarah was very good and let us take the dress outside for some quirkier shots as we’d seen a nice apple tree and wanted to hang the dress from it. We then grabbed some shots of the bridesmaids prep before heading over to the guys place for a few photos. The ceremony took place at St. Leonard’s Church in Warmington, we got there a little earlier so we could set up and get some shots of guests as well as James’ anticipation of Sarah’s arrival.
Sarah and James are such a lovely down to earth couple and the day was filled smiles and laughter. Even the short burst of rain didn’t dampen their spirits, as soon as it stopped we headed out for their bride and groom portraits. Sarah showed us to a field that had been especially put aside for us to use and we got some fantastic shots from it. We also got to work along with videography duo Zac and Olivia from Tea4Two, check out their video of the day here.
The day was then topped off with cake cutting, dancing and gladiator jousting (which of course Sarah won lol). Thanks for having us as your photographers for your special day.
